Le’ Bambou Gorilla Lodge

Le bambou gorilla lodge is classified as mid-range lodging (3-star) located in the Kinigi sector of the Ruhengeri Musanze region in Rwanda’s Northern Province, in proximity to Volcanoes National Park, the habitat of endangered mountain gorillas. The resort is ideally located for gorilla trekking, just a 10-minute drive from the park headquarters. Traveling by vehicle from Kigali International Airport to the lodge takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, whereas a flight to Ruhengeri airstrip requires about 45 minutes. Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge consists of 23 sophisticated and pleasant self-contained rooms constructed in traditional Rwandan style using local materials such as bamboo, indigenous stones, and grass thatched roofs. Volcanoes National Park is the largest and most frequented national park located in the northwestern region of Rwanda.The park encompasses an area of 505 square miles of rainforest and is bordered by five volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains: Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabinyo.
